Filled with festive cheer, I just wanted to wish Merry Christmas to everyone on ENworld - my 'virtual home' on the web.
Although I can number those that I've met in person without having to take my socks off there are many that I've known for a long time via your screen name, and more that I've observed in interaction with one another.
I just want to say that you guys (and gals) are great. I've not seen a community elsewhere which combines such intellectual debates with genuine displays of compassion and empathy. We have celebrated the births and been saddened by the deaths of people we have mostly never met. New faces appear on ENworld and some old faces fade away, but ENworld keeps on going strong.
I'm grateful to Eric for starting something and Morrus for taking up the torch when the time came, and for everyone who helps to make this place what it is (hint - it's all of you).
You have contributed to my enjoyment of 2004 and I'm sure looking forward to 2005.
