[QUOTE="Halivar, post: 5891285, member: 9327"] Gord, Beej and Poke Mortimer claim to be [wiki]Hengistbury Village[/wiki]'s only "functioning" thieve's guild. They promise to expand operations once they "establish themselves." At the respective ages of 12, 13 and 14, these delinquent orphans are (almost) universally disliked by the older folks in the village, while children lionize them. As far as thievery goes, Hengistbury is not a place full of marks ripe for plunder; besides, blundering oaf Poke and over-thinking mastermind Gord have proven quite inept at it. What they do have a knack for is sneaking, surveillance, and gossip. A suspicious housewife, a jealous business competitor, or inquisitive adventurers can find use in them as spies, and they make their meager living doing so. They have a history of cooperating with the constabulary, especially where crime is concerned. It appears that, despite their claim to status as a thieve's guild, upstanding Beej and tender-hearted Poke can't bear to actually break the law, much to the chagrin of ambitious Gord.
