I totally agree with iwatt's suggestions, especially about the droid ;) Some other ideas floating in my head (keep in mind, my players are playing during the events of KOTOR 1): - One thing you'll need is a hook to keep all of the party members together, some common theme that gives each of them a reason to work together. Escaping the planet alive is a good one, but after that.... Unless they already know each other, in which case, my point is moot.. - Other encounters such as people trying to get off the planet (refugees, smugglers, etc.); people who were in place before the Sith arrived, perhaps preparing the place for the initial assault; secret Republic intelligence personnel who know about the coming assault and why nothing was done to stop it... (a common theme in all my games is hidden agendas) - Depending on the ship they 'borrow', people will definitely be keen on getting that ship returned to them. - Perhaps encountering other 'wannabe' Sith trying to join the cause, perhaps a precursor to the events in KOTOR 2, if you plan to include them. Going even further, perhaps someone attempts to recruit the PCs into the Sith, promising free passage off planet, etc... Anyway, just some random thoughts before I go in to work.. Good luck!
