[QUOTE="Krolik, post: 3473607, member: 17219"] I find that my own children would rather go online and surf through Wikipedia then use that very expensive set of encyclopedias I purchased for them. :) There's also the benefit of having archives on the computer and not having to search through back issues of the magazines to try and find something from 4 years ago that you thought was cool but never got around to using until now. And there's always the less dead trees is a good thing concept and you only need to print out the things you need at the moment. :) There's not real data that's ever been released about the gaming market size. There are 50,000 members on EnWorld. That might be 30%, 10%, 5%, or 1% of the entire D&D community world wide. But even if we assume it's 30% that still leaves 70% of the market that has nothing to do with EnWorld. And there's always the idea that that fact that we talk the most doesn't mean we buy the most. :) I think there's a whole sub-group of gamers who have so much material that they have no reason to buy anything else. The nostalgia approach is a marketing trick to get them to buy something they wouldn't have bought otherwise. As I said in another thread, I think it was more an issue with Paizo needing to get the info out now rather the WotC preferring for the information to come out a month or two from now when they would be more prepared.
