Natural Reach

Looking over some of the creatures in the MM, I notice that some are given reach but don't explain WHICH attacks have reach and which might not. For example, an elder xorn has a reach of 10 feet. Its attacks are Bite +21, 3 Claws +19. Certainly it has reach with claws, but it doesn't say that it DOESN'T have reach with it's bite. Where this really came into play was with an attack of opportunity. The Xorn has much better damage with it's bite, but can that bite reach 10 feet???

To keep combat streamlined and not over burden it with details about each individual attack they all have the same reach.

The monster manual states that if the given reach is only for one of the creatures attacks the attack will be listed after the reach

I don't have it with me but i think it went something like..

Face: width*length/reach (specific attack)

if different attk forms have different reach it is listed ... see the kraken entry.

I'd agree with the above replies, much easier to just give a blanket reach.
