[QUOTE="TillForPie, post: 6344881, member: 6762758"] [FONT=Courier New]Chance feels the swell of magic as Law casts a spell. Law can't detect anything magical here, nor any particular stain of death. He and Chance clear the three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two hallway closets - all of it empty - until only the basement remains. The two mages descend the steps until reaching a landing about seven feet below the ground floor. Law opens the door and Chance shines the light in. It's a large basement, extending most of the length of the house by the look of it. There's a water heater, fuse box, and air conditioning unit down here, as well as long rows of empty shelves. It seems Agnasci was right: Nothing much to report on. Outside, Harper and Agnasci try to shrink out of sight as the headlights of a car appear at the end of the street. It's an old Ford Escort and it's slowly making its way to the end of the cul-de-sac. Law's light from inside 1505 has vanished and the two can only pray it doesn't reappear in the next few moments. The Escort pulls into the empty driveway of the house to the left of 1505 and seconds later an older man emerges, his face obscured by shadow. He stumbles toward his front door and disappears inside.
