It's more akin to D&D 5E in some ways. Unfortunately that seems emblematic of the Paradox-era stuff - the new Hunter: The Reckoning absolutely should not be called that, because no Reckoning in the old sense is involved at all, and instead Hunters are a bunch of randos with no coherent lore.
