It's nice to be appreciated. <big grin :)> Alright, <rubs hands> we can work with that a little, I hope? I'd first suggest we start immediately before the robbery and roleplay the thing out (I love in res openings, but in this case I think it'll be more fun to start from "rest state" and then shatter it, slowly and expertly :). With the above (especially the "lest we suffer" bit) the most likely reaction you'll get from Baran (my character, stuck with the rather unconfortable/unlikely nickname of "starblessed" (the litteral translation "Baran" from dwarven is actually a bit less... complimentary, shall we say :) -- As I was saying, the most likely reaction you'll get from Baran is chase, then, after that doesn't work (got to hate those short legs sometimes), reflection for say a day or two (he's patient as hell) and then going out on his own in full armored regalia : no bloody choice when the ancestors are involved (and don't you just hate it, having to lose a decade or two chasing pieces of paper?). This last will of course depend on where the thieves were headed and what he gathered of their identities. He'll feel obligated to spend at least a year looking around reguardless, but if nothing presents itself - well - what can you do? If that's acceptable, then we're off; if not, we'll have to tweak exactly what his father said to him to get another reaction. Speaking of slight tweaks, he'll need a reason for carrying that heirloom around instead of just leaving it with somebody who stayed safe inside Khazad-dum, or, say, inside a locked chest somewhere : he *is* on wilderness/living amongst the non-dwarves, 100-year treck after all. Might it have reputed healing/luck properties?
