Following up on the news we got in February about Pathfinder coming back to comics, Paizo just announced that Starfinder: Angels of the Drift is in the works with Dynamite Comics. Taking the helm will be none other than James L. Sutter. Sutter has been on staff at Paizo for over a decade, having served as Creative Director for Starfinder and playing a huge role in the development of the world and systems. Joining Sutter on this project will be artist Edu Menna (Army of Darkness). As with any great genre adventure, Angels of the Drift will have a colorful cast of characters: Navasi, the human woman and reformed pirate turned de facto captain; Obozaya, the reptilian main muscle; Ciravel, a precog elf in a hoverchair; Quig, a hotheaded mechanic with a pet robot and a flamethrower; and Keskodai, a priest of a death goddess and insectoid mechanic. Join them as a disaster befalls the Drift and completely throws off the galaxy's ability to travel safely between worlds. Each issue of the comic will come with extra content for tabletop players, all officially sanctioned by the Starfinder Society, including playable character stats for all the new heroes, a new playable species, and new character options. Starfinder: Angels of the Drift will alternate publications months with Pathfinder: Wake the Dead for the remainder of 2023, allowing fans to easily collect both series. Starfinder: Angels of the Drift #1 is solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' April 2023 Previews catalog and is slated for release in June 2023.
