FR, do all the horn-tooting you like. Anyone doesn't like it, they can just not read the thread, as far as I'm concerned. But then, I'm not a mod, nor Eric's Grandmother, so that doesn't mean a thing. :D But while we're off-topic, here's two things. Heard a rumour that Tarantino went to Barbara Broccoli and said, "Give me $40 million and Brosnan and Casino Royale." No response that I heard of (and it's probably not true, but man). Anyone read that Dirk Pitt novel, I think it was Night Probe, in which the square-jawed hero takes on an aging British agent who's OBVIOUSLY meant to be Bond? It's a great tribute and update to the hero and frankly, I think an aging Bond would be COOL. Connery as 007, retired. Yeah, that writes itself. Three things: my pitch is "Bond on Holiday" -- he drives his own car, gambles with his own money, and doesn't have to save the world -- he just has to save his old friend's family. Quit it with the "conquer the world" villians. Make us care about this character again. Sigh. What? Huh?
