Upon coming of age, Trevor decided to join the army (thinking it would improve his life), and soon found himself serving in the infantry as a skirmisher. Stationed with the garrison patrolling the western Grandwood, Trevor was often sent into the deep forest chasing elves and other “rebels.” After failing to slay a wounded elf, and letting the creature escape into the forest, Trevor was to receive trial by military tribunal for his crime and failure to carry out his orders.
