He determined that all was quiet, so he signaled for the other to join him. When the others got down, Xaxis illuminated Karyak’s shield with light. Then the others, each of whom were adept at seeing in low light situations, looked westward into the darkness. Calculating a possible position, Grim loosened a throwing hammer from his belt and let it fly. It hit something soft and clanked to the ground, no grunts or screams of pain. Then, Geyorg ran ahead and stopped 40 feet ahead. He too could not see any further because he realized that a curtain of sorts was hanging in the passage blocking vision further to the west. He yelled back to Grim, “Your hammer hit a curtain. Here.” Then he tossed the hammer back in Grimgold’s direction. When the others moved up, they saw that the curtain hung before them, but a small 5’ passage branched off on the north wall. Karyak stepped up to slice one of the zombies with his righteous brand. Grimgold made it back to the group, only to find that two new zombies, Rotwings, had entered the fray. [QUOTE="Rhenny, post: 5724814, member: 18333"] 8th Session Geyorg the Eladrin rogue, Grimgold the Dwarven fighter, Karyak the Dragonborn cleric and Xaxis the Tiefling wizard prepared to descend into the tunnel under Vincent Gander’s store. Geyorg stealthfully climbed down a makeshift ladder into the darkness, and peered out with his low light vision, listening for any signs of danger. He determined that all was quiet, so he signaled for the other to join him. When the others got down, Xaxis illuminated Karyak’s shield with light.
