[QUOTE="Scotley, post: 5833205, member: 11520"] The local village ladies come by to see Kendra and bring ample food to the house. So all can have a hearty breakfast. Kendra spends a half hour or so with the village women and then they depart. When everyone rises she has some new about the items you found. [sblock=Items from the Crypt] includes: a dozen silver arrows and bolts four sunrods six flasks of holy water 10 +1 arrows or bolts five +1 ghost touch arrows or bolts two +1 undead bane arrows five potions of cure light wounds two potions of lesser restoration one potion of restoration (found by Besharrn in the back of the sarcophagus) a scroll of detect undead two scrolls of hide from undead a scroll of protection from evil The board and planchette she is is unsure about, but believes they are used for divination. The four strange vials are also unknown to her, but she can do more identify spells tomorrow to gain more information. She also thinks that she has seen a picture of something like them in her father's books, but it may take some time to track it down. They do radiate faint necromancy and are magical, but not she thinks potions in the traditional sense. Certainly she does not think they should be consumed. [/sblock] [sblock=Vadim]You have seen spirit board with a spirit planchette among the Szarni and have a vague sense of how they are used. To use a spirit planchette, you must rest your fingers lightly upon the planchette’s surface and then concentrate on the planchette (as if maintaining a spell with a duration of concentration) for 2d6 rounds while the planchette attunes itself to the ambient spirits of the area. After this time, the planchette begins to slowly slide in random patterns across the board—at this point, questions may be asked of the spirits by any of the individuals involved in the séance. Questions are generally answered with a 'yes', 'no', 'maybe' or a single word spelled out. Often only one question can be asked per use. Such things are dangerous and involve risk as some spirits are evil or hostile to the living. The local spirits may or may not have knowledge of the question asked.[/sblock] [/QUOTE]
