I'm unfamiliar with that, but I'll take a look. (My video gaming slot is taken up right now with Horizon: Forbidden West's DLC, though.)

the basic idea is that it's a bronze age fantasy CRPG where the BBEG (who can write insane spells, such as a region-wide nuke that triggers upon the player's death or failure to secure it within a certain timeframe) won and you're fantasy judge dredd adjudicating cases and stomping out the last remnants of resistance while managing relations between the two armies that took over the area. i haven't played it either, but i think the setting is neat.

Got the same vibes and... I have played it! And it is a really good game. If you have the time, then give it a try. Basically an evil camapign with a lot of choices and factions. And yes, ancient towers and edicts play a big role in the setting
