[QUOTE="Mistwell, post: 2966399, member: 2525"] These panels were hosted by the tech guy who operates the gate in SG-1 (I forget both his screen name and real name). He's a funny guy. SG-1 panel was quite good, as usual. Christopher Judge (Teal'c), as usual, is quite a goofy guy and hams in up in the panel the whole time, cracking jokes and making fun of people. Several actors, the writers, and producers were present. Here are the spoilers for next season that were leaked: Episode 200 will be several (I think 6) short episodes, each written and directed by someone else. One will reveal the Furlings. One will have General Hammond. At some point during the next season Daniel will go to the "Dark Side". Richard Dean Anderson will make an appearance this season, though it may be on Atlantis and not SG-1. Apparently he will be involved with the replicators. Though rumors have been that the show ends soon, that is not at all clear. Ratings continue to be good, and Sci-Fi says it remains up in the air how many seasons remain. They are not against the concept of doing several more seasons, in principal. Once the show does actually finally end, they will begin working on an SG-1 movie. They had a script, but since the show continued already beyond when they thought it would be cancelled, they incorporated that script into the show last season. Apparently it is not uncommon for people to have SG-1 watching parties, where they drink every time the gate is opened on an episode. The Atlantis panel was even more fun that the SG-1 panel. Pretty much the entire cast except the actor who plays Ronin was there (he was stuck in traffic or something). Spoilers for this season: The Ancients will return to Atlantis, Ronin goes wraith and must go renegade again. There were others, but sadly I missed several as he (the lead writer) leaked them in a manner that made you think he was joking, until he let it drop later that he probably was not joking and those were real. Paul McGillion (Carson Becket) and David Hewett (Rodney McKay) goofed off the entire time, harassing Rachel Luttrell (Tayla Emmagan) and Tori Higginson (Dr. Elizabeth Weir). Paul (Carson) even "appeared" remove his pants and throw his boxer shorts into the audience (they were actually on his lap below the table). David (Rodney) managed to hit on almost everyone on the panel, men included. The actors offerred some background on how they got into the show. Once cast, they all got together at Joe Flanigan's (Lt. Col. John Sheppard) house and watched Galaxy Quest while drinking scotch, and that helped. At one point the actor who plays Chief Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica ran on stage begind the Atlantis panel, grabbed a banner, made a quick comment about how Weir was actually a cylon, and left. David Hewett (Rodney) directed a movie recently that just wrapped called A Dog's Breakfast, which is a low-budget comedy about a sci-fi fan (that was filmed using some Atlantis sets, in off hours and unrecognizable ways). It will be making the run of film festivals soon. The crew plays a lot of pranks on each other. Rachel Luttrell (Tayla Emmagan) has managed to both injure others and be injured on numerous occassions. In one episode, she was up in a tree, and Paul McGillion (Carson Becket) and Joe Flanigan (Lt. Col. John Sheppard) threw rocks at her, poked her with tree branches, and otherwise messed with her while she needed to keep a straight face on camera. Another time, David Hewett (Rodney) was constantly complaining about all the hiking they were doing in one episode, so Joe Flanigan (Lt. Col. John Sheppard) decided to put rocks in his back-pack at every opportunity, slowly so he never noticed them. All day this went on, so that by the end of the day his packpack was nearly full of rocks, and Hewett never figured it out until he was told the next day (while complaining about how sore he was from all the hiking the day before). Of interesting note: Apparently TIVO hurts their ratings, and they want people to stop watching the show just on TIVO but to watch it live. Ratings remain decent and overall Sci-Fi seems pleased with the shows.
