[QUOTE="kronovan, post: 8837808, member: 6775134"] I'm on the wet/west coast of Canada. To put it into perspective, I bought the Traveller 2e PDFs for the Core Rule Book, High Guard, Vehicle Handbook, Central Supply Catalog and Companion and those cost me over $200 CAD. I mostly buy from one online USA retailer which is competitively priced, has a huge selection, a nice library feature and to date hasn't started charging CAD sales tax. I know the sales tax is coming though, as it's materialized at other online USA online retailers recently - thank you Prez Trump for forcing free trade to be renegotiated! A previous, better exchange rate would have accounted for a lower cost for some of my Traveller 1e hardcover and PDFs, but TBH I bought some of my Traveller 1e hardcovers for less than their 2e PDF equivalents. The pain is made worse for me finding it necessary to also run campaigns online - have local players that are still uncomfortable with gaming in person. Since I moved campaigns to Virtual Tabletop, I've ended up buying 3 editions of the 2e CRB; PDF for homebrewing during lunchbreaks, hardcover for players around IRL tables and the digital ruleset for VTT. Even though I managed to buy the PDF and the digital VTT editions in sales, I still payed about $150 CDN for them. It just doesn't leave a lot of $ for setting and companion books - not for me anyways, with my limited budget. At times I wish I didn't feel compelled towards collaborative story telling - I'd have more $ for beer, but the bliss would be much more short lived. :D If you prefer I comment/discuss by PM or other means, please say so and I'll oblige.
