Dren: You recall that certain races, giants included, enforce strict caste systems upon themselves. Your dwarven tutor explained that the giants refer to their social structure as an ordning, but the rest of the lesson went in one ear and out the other. Aremus: You recall that the ordning was not created by the giants themselves, but rather a cruel god known as Annam The All Father. Starting at the bottom, the caste goes sub giants (such as ogres), hill giants, stone giants, frost giants, fire giants, cloud giants, and finally storm giants. In the past, a hill giant would be obligated (from a religious perspective at least) to follow the wishes of stone giant. None of the lower kinds could order around a storm giant. You would imagine the ending of this ancient social structure would either require a proclamation from Annam or massive revolt from his creations. Zephyros: The giant wizard allows Aremus and Dren to bring the group up to speed on the caste system. “Indeed, this practice was ended by the cruel god who created it. A few days, ago all of giant kind simultaneously received the same vision,” the wizard solemnly explains before waving his hand again in ritual. A different world washes over the entire party. Vision: You all stand in a peaceful valley. Many of you quickly realize that you are in the vision Eldrarth saw earlier. Towering before you is massive totem pole consisting of all the different types of giants. While the structure is impressive, it appears very old and fragile. Turning around, you see waves of humans charging towards the totem pole. Some are soldiers, but most are simply villagers with pitchforks and torches. Mixed in are a few humans in religious cloaks and masks that appear to be themed around reptiles and different natural elements. Things suddenly grow much darker. You all look up and see what has blotted out the sun. The skies are filled with legion of dragons, every type and color, greedily circling the totem pole. The charging armies sweep over the group and things become incredibly chaotic. They attack the tower. It becomes impossible to retain all that happens. Some of you see something even larger in the skies above the dragons, a dark blob with many tentacles. Others witness mountains and rivers take bipedal forms. Fistan suddenly finds himself emotionless and is the only one who hears a wolf howl in the distance. Without warning, the tower is struck by a bolt of lightning and explodes. A blinding light washes over everything and you are all back on the cliff with Zephyros. “I apologize, but I don’t believe words would have done it justice. Annman is offering us all freedom at a price. The ordning in exchange for the genocides of the other races of the world."
