Talislanta RPG questions

I have question about a game system I have heard good things about. The game is Talislanta 4th edition and I questions about the system, if anyone here have seen, played or ran. The questions are how many modes does a starting character begin with and how many do they gain later on? Do they have to pick one Oder or can learn or join more than one order? Like can learn Natural Magic plus Shamanism or Cartomancy, and Cryptomancy?

Well,

Most of the different types of magical expression vary by race. I believe it is possible to learn other styles but it's very uncommon and you won't likely be very good at them.
