Following the roils of song and the pungent odor of liquor, a young human made his way through the wooden doors of the establishment, forcibly brushing them aside as he lingered only momentarily at the threshold. He was a man by definition of age, but his brash, almost juvenile countenance belied his maturity. He was a bramble of a fellow, sandy hair cut short with but the faintest of stubble dabbled about his chin, and sporting an excitable smile as bold as an unruly knave and as cocksure as a badger's ferocity. For a moment, the musclebound lad might have passed for a pilgrim of sorts based on his garb, yet there was something off about it. It was an odd sort of cleanliness; his armament bedecked attire as fresh and unscathed as though it were just bought or newly sewn, marking him easily as a man yet unaccustomed to traveling large swaths of land nor the beaten and familiar roads of pastoral hamlets. Looking around, Dane surveyed the common room of the two-story tavern, taking note of its gaggle of rough-and-ready looking patrons poised to strike against their beverages and meals like starved vipers, whilst others peered longingly into their glasses or passed the time with rousing games of chance. Without a doubt, he'd found the Dunn Wright Inn! "Afternoon, folks," brimmed the brown-haired boy, granting a casual nod and wave in greeting towards the tavern at-large. Without skipping a beat he made his way across the wooden floor and towards the barkeep over yonder, weighty footfalls bombarding the planks beneath his feet and a lengthy yet comparatively short sword sashaying ever so slightly against the small of his back with a gentle rustle of its leather sheath abrading against his belt. Plopping down at the counter beside the Tengu stranger and burly dwarf, the ever-vivacious Dane murmured out his order for a glass of water; he needed his senses keen, lest he miss his golden opportunity.
