Standard rates plus travel expenses and hazard pay! If you're interested, please step to the front of the bar and speak to me, Commander Jacobson. And please step lively, as I'm quite busy and have other urgent business to attend to. Thank you!"</span></p><p></p><p>As interested parties begin to come forward, Jacobson turns back to the half-orc bartender, rubbing her forehead. <span style="color: darkslateblue">"Keeping the nobles in line is a trying job at the best of times. But the incorporation of this new House ... it's as if someone threw rocks at a wasps' nest. All of them are buzzing, and most of them are also stinging, rather indiscriminately as it were. The Roses di Sanguigno and D'Avorio have been the scene of non-stop petty bickering and groundless duels for weeks now. And of course, the Whitecloaks been getting complaints from everyone involved. I don't like to complain, but it has been a trying time. Some of those duchesses can be exceptionally shrill when they have a mind to be. Some of the dukes too, come to think of it."</span></p><p></p><p>She shakes her head, her expression somewhere between concern and exhaustion. <span style="color: darkslateblue"> "That said ... this particular complaint might have some merit.
