Almost immediately, he turns back to the outside world and pauses.</p><p></p><p>It's not that rapidly opening doors is, by any standard, unusual to the place. On a given night, it might happen several times. Most often, it is purposeful attention-mongering by more flamboyant patrons, hoping to draw attention to themselves through overt action. Less commonly, it is accidental, induced by stress and expressed in many forms, from anger to desperation. It is the latter that perks the attention of the seasoned adventurer.</p><p></p><p><span style="color: #add8e6">"Fine, fine!"</span> the man's exclamation carries a definitive tone of irritation as he stands in the doorway, facing outward as he replies to unseen person. <span style="color: #add8e6">"That kind of help I can use. Let me know by morning."</span> With little further fanfare, he turns inward and approaches the bar, taking note of the odd man continuing to pantomime on the stage. Dim light provides some details to the casual viewer. He wears a sword, highly weathered but in good repair. And although bearing the symbology of Cortesia, his clothing has a more military feel to it, and could best be described as a uniform.</p><p> </p><p>Dropping a couple of coin into the meaty hand of the orc-blooded bartender, the man waits patiently as his unspoken order is fulfilled, giving himself a chance to look over the current patrons. When a beer is set before him, he takes a rather serious sampling of it, smirks knowingly, and finally addresses the other patrons with a raised voice. <span style="color: #add8e6">"I'm looking to hire a group. Well seasoned, willing to travel, and ready to leave at a moment's notice. I'll be conversing with potential applicants in one of the meeting rooms."</span></p><p></p><p>Having given his announcement, the would-be employer heads towards one of the rooms. However, as he passes by Ethane, he stops, looking intently. His hard expression softens to concern, and he speaks in a considerably more subdued tone in comparison to the announcement to the room. <span style="color: #add8e6">"It concerns Tritower. The news... is bad. You'll want to know, whether you take the job or not."</span></p><p></p><p>With that, the Cortesian steps into one of the meeting rooms.</p><p></p><p>[sblock=Recruitment]Recruiting for "Perception is Reality--Whispers of Tritower", a level 9-10 adventure.
