That is fair. This is why it's good to have these conversations and dig deeper, as I understand your viewpoint ad think you did do a good thing. I think I would be safe at a table you are at. It's overall complex. Tricky. Nuance is required and working with people. But I think a lot of folks like myself and in other minority and marginalized communities in the English speaking world are tired. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to safely change minds, but we could use a lot of help from allies and help from being listened to. And I am sorry if I ever do make an assumption about someone who's at a table with a bigot and they simply don't know, and they would support me or tackle someone's views if they knew. It's a defense mechanism... and it can be vital. I especially just wish... people would stop hating others on objectively dumb shite like skin colour, or who they're in love with, or how they like to dress and their pronouns, their faith etc. I'd just like people to be instead holding actually morally poor people to account. Those who are violent or corrupt or greedy to the point of hurting vast amount of people. I'd like the conversation to be about how to tackle climate change, how to connect communites, bridge rural and urban divides, how to ensure that nobody goes hungry or loses a home; how no one individual holds too much power via wealth. And... this stupid dumb hatred shite stops all that, helps no one, and often feels to just be coming from people wanting to just hurt others for their own satisfaction. And I really cannot understand that.
