Hello, I'm proud to announce our Gamefound campaign for Thorgal: The Roleplaying Game has been launched (here's the link). If you're not sure who is Thorgal and whether or not this game is up your alley - no problem, there is a free PDF Starter available on DTRPG (link to Starter). Let me try to sum it up for you the best I can. Thorgal is a science-fantasy game, in which you become one of the Atlanteans - an ancient race who set off to the stars 12k years ago and was forced to return to Earth after the cataclysm that struck their planet. After reaching the Earth their spaceship crashes into the Northern Sea, but many mange to escape in the escape pods, drifting in all direction. PCs are the ones who reached the shores of Northland - modern day Scandinavia, back then ruled by the Vikings. Many Atlanteans saved their lives, but are now stranded among the strangers, in a strange land. They had no time to grab any of their technology, so the only natural thing for them is to become on of the natives - or at least try to become one of them. We become berserkers, rogue mercenaries, huntsmen and members of the Viking raids, but at their hearts the are still Atlenteans - and they need to stay together. They are not humans - they have access to some wierd psychic abilities. What they do know is that before them one more ship tried to reach the Earth, and it has succeeded - but where are those Atlenateans - it remains mystery. What is more, the gods of Asgard have noticed coming of the supernatural beings the Atlanteans are - and they are not happy. The game is based on the custom mechanic using 2d20s and resources to altern the results on them. The scenario structure is divided between the journey part - when PCs set off on a journey, just like Thorgal frequently did - and the Downtime, when PCs return to the settlement, check what has happened during their absence, decide to invest their treasures in developing the settlement or buy some exotic gear from the merchants, and finally - decide to develop the relationship with their soulmates or invest in their skills.
