[QUOTE="The Black Ferret, post: 7331751, member: 6935532"] New publisher Gathen Games has released its first book, the Trident City Sourceboook, which combines superheroes and medieval fantasy! The independent city-state of Trident City sits on the Great Gathen River, a huge trading mecca having won its independence in the Sovereignty War a hundred years ago. With great wealth and influence comes great dangers, however, and the city finds itself threatened by various villains set on pursuing their nefarious goals. The city's resident team of heroes, The Paladins, whose members include the demi-god WarDeva, the earth-controlling Dwarven prince-in-exile Terrasmith, and the barrier-creating Rampart, must match wits and powers against villains such as the mad alchemist Castor Crucible, the power-stealing Rooking Glass, the Elven supervillains called the Unseelie, and the terrorist organization known as WYRM. Trident City is a living breathing city which can be used for a fantasy-supers campaign taking place within it, using either the heroes detailed in the book or your own characters. The city government, the primary districts and their individual wards, places of interest and businesses including banks, inns, hospitals, and entertainment, the laws and the major gangs who break them, are all described within. Over three dozen major NPCs, both heroes and villains, are detailed inside, as well as basic stats for lesser NPCs and generic civilians. Additionally, there is basic information about the extended world beyond Trident City: the other nations on the continent of Crycea, the various planes of the Multi-Cosm, and the vast and mysterious Empyrean Expanse. It could also be used as a city for a standard fantasy campaign by taking out the superhero elements, or as a place that modern supers can visit in the past, bringing new and old heroes together. Please check out the Trident City Sourcebook for Mutants and Masterminds, 3rd Ed, created under the Superpowered by M+M open license. Writing and (amateur) artwork by myself.
