D&D 5E Trip Attack and Pushing Attack as a small character

When looking at the normal rules for shoving someone, is specifies that

"The target of your shove must be no m ore than one size larger than you, and it must be within your reach."

However, the rules for the Trip Attack and Pushing Attack Maneuvers both specify that you can prone or push someone

"if the target is Large or smaller".

Does this mean that if you're playing a halfling or gnome, would you be able to knock over or away things two size categories larger than you with these maneuvers?

Yes. Specific trumps General. The rules for shoving are General when compared against the rules for Tripping Attack and Pushing Attack.

Right and wrong. It's more relevant vs not.
The shoving rules are relevant only to shoving.
The trip and push manuevers are not shoving, therefore the shoving rules are irrelevant.
