Suddenly the shadows of the tickets the scorpion had crawled in to animate in a most malignant fashion, wrapping around the thing, and choking it, crushing it, and dragging to the ground. Once again, totally oblivious to the fact that it was all in his head.</p><p></p><p>At a brisk pace, Zaroch quickly puts some distance between himself and the writhing beast.</p><p></p><p>[OOC]Zaroch's Turn:</p><p>Free - Monster Knowledge + Use Vulnerability if former is successful</p><p><em>Likely successful. I'm not sure what the hard DC is for level 1, but I'm assuming 19 beats it. Until the end of my next turn I gain a +4 bonus to my defenses against attacks from the Scorpion, and I deal an extra 5 points of damage on damage rolls against it as long as it is not resistant to the damage. By my understanding, the damage Beguiling Strands causes is not a 'roll', although a second opinion on that would put my mind at ease.</em></p><p></p><p>Standard - Beguiling Strands</p><p><em>That's a hit. 5 psychic damage, by my reckoning, and the scorpion is pushed 5 squares directly away from Zaroch to the East, and in to the difficult terrain.</em></p><p></p><p>Action Point - Grasping Shadows</p><p><em>22 damage, it is bloodied, and it is slowed until the end of my next turn. It also creates a zone, but since its largely irrelevant now I'm not going to bother adding it to the map.</em></p><p></p><p>Move Action - Move 6 squares, to the South East, and just off the map.
