Who needs Hit Points when you have Stamina?

One of the things in discussion for the 2d6 String System is life and how well a character can sustain themself on the field of battle.

Well, one of the things we are developing is Stamina to replace a life point system. Essentially, Stamina is how much a person can endure before collapsing and rendering them somewhat helpless.

When a person is reduce to 0 Stamina, they are considered to be winded, wounded, or something similar other than unconscious.

However, Stamina is much more than that - the beefy fighter who losses some Stamina might find it hard to lift that Claymore (greatsword) and swing it as effectively; a character that is doing a forced march will not fight as they normally would; therefore your physical exertion is intertwined whether a person can stand on their feet and how well they fight.

Stamina also returns naturally - so someone that has fallen due to loss of Stamina may be able to get up and return to battle after a brief rest.
