As I've said prior to this, I have an issue with this otherwise great volume: the faux-intelligence of the Inquisitive archetype, which doesn't use Intelligence at a ll mechanically (instead using the overused Wisdom stat), which is a dissapointment: if you make an Inquisitive rogue with Int 8, you aren't going to be hindered at all, but if you don't pump a little Wisdom, many of its features fall flat. The other is the reimpression of SCAG and EEPC content, which I believe is a dick move. On the great side: I, for once, am glad that clerics don't increase a lot their spell list. They don't really need to, as they receive the FULL LIST whenever they reach the appropriate level. Bumping their list would be an unnecessary bump on the already high versatility of the class. But they did increase the spell list, with wonderful spells. The Ceremony spell? Impressive work. I've applauded it when it came out in the UA for being amazingly flavorful and appropriate for a priest. I quite liked the War Mage, and I'm tempted for once playing a wizard after all these years of avoiding them. I like that they increase their Initiative with Intelligence, which "devaluates" the need for Dexterity, and overall think this is a "simple Wizard" to use. I noticed that isn't an OP option, and it is a great option for Mountain Dwarves to pick (imagine a dwarf with scale mail, battleaxe and magic). I've also enjoyed the Cavalier: great at horse, quite good as a pikemen too. I regret now that my human fighter is a Battlemaster, now.
