Eventually, other releases will follow for Adventure Tools, such as Encounter Builder and Map Builder. In addition to new builders, we'll also continue adding content, enhancements, and new features to D&D Monster Builder, in the same vein as the D&D Character Builder and D&D Compendium.
which I think is the first time I've seen a confirmation that those are in the pipeline.

You can also browse through powers directly. Notice the power list in the top right portion above. You can filter and browse through over 10,000 powers. In the center panel you can tweak/edit/create any monster power you'd like.

Carric, elf cleric/ranger (radiant servant->saint)

Truxas, human feylock/bard (feytouched->feyliege)
Tagron, human rogue (daggermaster->deadly trickster) 22nd level Musings of an Epic Virgin
Notice the top-left hand corner of the 3rd and 4th images? You don't have to include all the stupid fiddly stats (Alignment, stats, skills) if you don't think its necessary!
So if I was to print out monsters I wouldn't have to add 3 extra pages just because I have five separate versions of Goblin.
I'm excited to see the rest of the programs and consider this a positive sign as to if DDI is going to be worth purchasing in the future.

99% of edition conflict boils down to "For me, there are a lot of things that [Edition] can not do in the way I want them done nearly as well as other systems can."
Yeah, I hope it's got a good system of searching those powers. When I'm trying to make a monster sometimes I have a theme in mind but don't necessarily know the exact power to use right off. Might be pretty cool to search for radiant powers and add them quickly and easily to a Cleric of an Evil Radiant God...

Now, I would like to know when the next API article will come out, showing me how to access the individual compendium elements (like a power, item, monster) via webservice.

Characters & Games
Books currently in play: Dungeon & Dragon Magazine (*Scales of War AP*), WOTC 4e Core and Supplemental books
Current Campaign: Scales of War - Lost Mines of Karak -- Kodirgo, Minotaur Barbarian 6; Vondal, Dwarf Cleric 6; Karithul, Gnome Bard 6; Marshaun, Elf Druid 6
And this coming from a guy who already has a really nifty monster builder of his own.
Yeah, I agree. I'm very excited.

The ability to search through the consolidated banks of DnD monsters offline alone is great, with the monster customization options turn this into pure awesome. Odd, no mention of adding templates, which would definitely be on my wishlist, though 4e templates are very easy to add.

I noticed in the picture 5 circles for the various builder programs... this means there are possibly 2 more unnamed builders...

Keyworded stuff should be pretty easy. What's going to be trickier is going based off of effect -- ie "I want an interesting power that pushes PCs around" etc.
I wonder if you can have 2 or more instances open at once, that would make swapping and changing stuff so much easier (especially to those of us with 3 24" screens )
