Very cool images from Star Wars Ep. III

Whoa! I like the "Anakin starting to look like Darth Vader" pic. It definitely pushes him down that path, but I can't say exactly how.

Those Wookiees give me bad flashbacks to the Star Wars Holiday Special.

But I have to admit, Hayden looks very cool. So cool that I wish that they had never introduced Jake Lloyd/Young Annie into the series. They should have just started out with a bada$$-looking young adult Hayden in Episode I.

I'm glad they started with a younger Annie. It makes his change into Vader that much more tragic.

Disclaimer: I have come to hate most of the new Star Wars stuff, and thus my opinion is intentionally biased, and rather illogical. You are unlikely to change your views on account of my comment, but I feel the need to rant it anyway.

. . . more tragic.

No, it simply makes it more stupid. There is no drama in this series. Young Anakin wasn't a loveable, sweet child, who we saw grow into a man who makes some bad decisions. No, young 'Annie' was annoying, falling into the stupid sci-fi cliche of the wunderkind in the fine tradition of Wesley Crusher. No slight intended toward Will Wheaton, but Wesley was an irritating little bleep.

I see no reason to defend the Star Wars franchise now. Even if Lucas was misguided enough to think that he was doing a good job with writing or directing, there are thousands of people who work on movies like this, and one of them should've taken old George and sat him down with a rental DVD of The Godfather. Sure, the new trilogy isn't the level of Ed Wood, but the acting is rather, well, wooden.

Darth Vader, the ultimate movie villian and the quintessential pop icon of evil of our generation, should never have been associated with the image of an 8-year old fair-haired boy named Annie. Annie watered-down Vader.

Just my opinion. ;)

I think the black outfit while standing in front of the white door brings the circle back around the first image of Vader striding through the blast door at the beginning of SW:ANH.

I'm glad that they started out with a young Annie too. It showed that this was how good and innocent that he once was, making his journey down 'the dark path' that much more tragic, like KenM said. It also shows that, in the end, the child Annie was still a part of Darth Vader.

Too cool! But then again I'm biased, I love Star Wars and have a blast watching the first two along with the last three. Can't wait until this one is out!

P.S. To the "haters". Should Anakin have been an evil kid then? Even Hitler was a nice sweet little kid at one time I'd wager.

Also, no matter how annoying Jake Lloyd was in the role. I think that GL was trying to make him innocent to make it more tragic.
