Do the 1st-Lvl spells "Shield" and "Mage Armor" stack?

I would think they would as mage armor grants an armor bonus and shield grants a shield bonus. Meaning, they're not the same kind of AC bonus.

Any definitive opinions on this?

Yes. They both stack. Shield and armour bonuses stack.

You're right. The spells stack with each other, because they have differently named bonuses.

However, the shield spell does not stack with an actual shield, because both supply the same kind of bonus. Similarly, the mage armor spell does not stack with physical armor or bracers of armor.
