Percy

"Wine? How nice. I'd love a glass." Percy clears herself a place and sits down, used to being served nice things. "You know Rilithorn? Wonderful man. And he mentioned us, did he? Well. We are an unusual bunch. And an archeological expeidition would be a nice change of pace. Are you after something interesting?"

Nars

Nars pauses for a moment outside the guild hall, running an eye over the building, estimating its general dimensions and going over the possible layout in his head. He notes the construction materials and a quick guess at the construction quality.

Once inside, he looks about the foyer, examining the support structures and getting a better idea of the quality. You can tell a lot about a people by the construction and maintenance of their buildings.

Upon entering the study, he blanches slightly at the disorderly mess. How does the man ever find anything? Hoping to not offend and perhaps cover for his expression, he takes a glass of wine, "Er, thankyou." He listens attentively to Mr. Atterwood has to say.

The Quest

The old man stands stiffly and moves to pour wine for everyone who wants some. Handing it out carefully, he then sits back down and rubs his forehead with a cloth from his pocket. Continuing, he says, "Researchers for the Sage's Guild have recently discovered the tomb of one Toth Nekamek, an ancient king believed to have reigned over two thousand years ago. The tomb is assumed to be full of artifacts that would be very useful in the research of both the late king and the culture to which he belonged.

The guild would very much like to send a team in to excavate the tomb and catalog its contents. However, initial scouts returned with reports of a gnoll tribe that has taken up residence in within the caverns. The local villages have also felt the effects of having the evil humanoids nearby.

And thats where you come in."
he finishes looking to Percy to try and gage her reaction.

"Hmmm. Gnolls." Percy swirls her wine and sniffs it. "Are they the things with piggy faces? In any case, we don't fear humanoids. And we like to combine good work with our business. I'm more concerned with what might be in the tomb. Do you expect dangerous traps and monsters? And what sort of artifacts do you think might be found? And what would you do with them?"

Ishmael speaks his mind. "If routing the gnolls would bring comfort to the villagers, then this mission has great merit to it already"

"Gnolls would be the jackal-headed creatures, chaotic violent beasts. Traps are quite possible, the ancient tombs of the Nemuari are typically riddled with them. Whether or not any monsters beyond the gnolls exist within the tomb is unknown. I am hoping that cultural artifacts will abound. The Nemuari kings were buried with all of their wealth, believing that they would need it in the afterlife. Jewels, gems, coin, priceless pieces of art all could still be within the tomb. Were we to get them, the guild would study the artifacts for historical research." replies the sage.

"I believe we are interested. What terms do you offer? And, er, " Percy swallows a gulp of wine. "How many gnolls do you estimate there are?"

Rodimus furrows his brow when Percy seems to mix his half-kindred with gnolls, but doesn't say anything. It's not like he has any sympathy for the orcs.
He finds something that probably doesn't tople over when leaned against to get more comfortable, only half-interested in the discussion.

Ishmael looks at the sage as he speaks, trying to see if his words truly match his intent. If he can use his Divine Inquisition ability without disrupting the conversation, he shall do so.
