Running Epic Tier Campaigns

I don't mean to unnecessarily revive dead threads, but this post just saved my floundering first attempt at Epic tier play. I think anyone who is running a high level campaign in 4e MUST read this post to save themselves a ton of grief. Thanks to all for some great insights, game tested experience, and amazing examples.

It's not a bad thing, because it reminds me that I had a bit of trouble with the internet and so I couldn't get around to finishing off describing some of my other epic tier encounters. I'll have to see if I can find the notes I had from those games and post some more ideas/encounters for other DMs. Unfortunately the remaining encounters were not as successful or engaging as the battle with Jerusha on the elemental airship. Everything was not an entire pushover and everyone had fun though towards the end. Ultimately, that's what matters the most.
