In the Office of the Magistrate of the 14th Ward

"Aye, I guess we should at that," says the Patriarch as he finishes his beverage and rises to go.

The Constables surround the Patriarch protectively begin to escort him back to his quarters in Clayfields. Everyone roll a DC 25 spot check, please, for the outward-bound trip across Clayfields.

OOC: Made the DC a little too tough - been playing around with higher level games lately. DC of the spot check has been revised to 25. Still no piece of cake, but maybe a little more doable, although Raul, Brae, and Alarion have still missed it. Raul just by THAT much!

OOC: The Spot checks were just to see if you happened to catch a glimpse of the perp on the way to the Patriarch's house. Figured I'd give you a glimmer of a chance, but I guess Raul was the only one with even a prayer, and he had a crappy roll.

IC: The Constables arrive back at the Patriarch's abode without incident, and the Patriarch bids you farewell and heads inside.

Dropping Off The Patriarch

The Bronze-Badged Constables of the Forteenth Ward of Lauralie Summerhome find themselves loitering on the stoop of the Patriarch of Meda in Clayfields at some time after two a.m., as near as you can estimate the time. On your journey out here from the Magistrate's Office, you have seen only very light traffic on the streets, even allowing for the lateness of the hour. It seems that folk are loath to venture out of doors if they can help it. The few folk that you did see were quick to salute you and looked relieved to see the constabulary so well-represented by such a large group of formidable men. The Patriarch is just about to take his leave of you and retire for what is now left of the night.

OOC: What seems to be the cunning plan now, Intrepid Constables?
