Dawn of the Warforged

Though Alecto is a little taken aback by Zeta's...enthusiasm for going in, it remains with Facet. It was entirely possible that Zeta would stir up trouble, which might then come charging forward. Even likely...none of the other warforged could move as quietly as Alecto. Scouting was really something it would be better at. Not for the first time, Alecto reflected on the absence of leadership from their handler. As a result of his careless and vague order, the various warforged were acting on their own initiatives, rather than coordinating.

Alecto even had a sense, a notion really, that the handler wouldn't exactly mind if they were all destroyed here, so he could return home.

With a quick shake of its head, Alecto banished that notion. Too far. Their handler was unpleasant and lackadaisical, but there was no evidence to support the conclusion that he had so little regard for their existences.

So Alecto followed Zeta in, staying just a few paces ahead of Facet.

(By perception I assume you mean Spot... Rolled a 4, a 10 and a 13. Wee. :) )

As Glitch watches Zeta move towards possible dangers, he himself remains with Facet and Alecto and keeps scanning the environment for other possible threats, particularly of a magical nature. While part of the scouting protocol, Glitch is also curious to see if the ruins themselves are magical or possess lingering arcane remnants.

OOC: Glitch employs his at-will Detect Magic ability, focusing on the environment and ignoring any magical signals from his warforged allies.
Glitch has no relevant Knowledge or Lore skills.

Muncher

As the other warforged darted into one of the mound of earth and plants that once seemed to have been buildings, Muncher pushes in before Alecto. "Let us go first, we can take a blow or two." he didn't meant it as a suggestion, as he not only didn't wait for an answer, he pushes his way through, Galvie at the ready.

Ancient ruins, Somewhere in the swamps north of Zarash'ak

The warforged group enters the ancient ruin, establishing some sort of pecking order along the way. The entrance of the mound has a very faint residue of psionic magic. A loud crunching noise resounds in the large chamber as some sort of fine crystals are trampled by warforged feet. The chamber itself is paved with stones that look a lot newer than the stones outside. Some sort of mural paintings can vaguely be outlined on the wals. At the far end of the room there is a door that has been broken down. No more movement can be seen.

The wildlands of Adar

During Valharath's watch, in the dark of night, the wind seems to carry the whisper of a sound from somewhere far off, some sort of chanting in a harsh language, presumably draconic but too vague to clearly understand. As he strains to listen it doen't become clearer, being barely audible over the rustling of the leaves and the sounds of the wildlife in the night.
Silently he mindlinks Rotitash to alert him to the noise. The warrior strains his eyes trying to pierce the darkness, and he can see a very faint glimmer of bluish light somewhere in the distance. The night makes it hard to guess distances, but ist appears to originate about a mile nort from the campsite in the directions ofa low rise of hills.

Muncher

Muncher didn't care about the painting on the walls, didn't care about whatever he was stepping on, he wanted to know who bashed down the door, and if it was possible that he could bash he or she down as well. The warforged advanced with determination to the doorway.

Facet follows after Muncher and Zeta, knowing the procedure as well as them. She was less sturdy, and thus was tasked to keep herself out of direct combat. The pictures on the wall intrigued her though, and she stepped to the walls, peering closely to see what they might depict.

"I detect very faint traces of psionic magic," Glitch informed the others in a hushed voice. Following the other warforged, Glitch held his mace at the ready - not upwards to strike with, but with the tip towards potential danger, to focus his eldritch power.

When Facet stops to inspect the paintings on the walls, Glitch stands next to her but instead keeps his attention on their surroundings.

Zeta follows Muncher through the bashed-in door. It occurs to Zeta that the person who knocked down the door may not be hostile. Perhaps they're explorers, too. Even so, Zeta takes no chances and keeps his shield and sword ready.
