Valharath opens his eyes and moves in one smooth motion to his feet. "X'erath'errlan," Valharath says to the insectoid emissary, "be on your guard."

The Lightbringer communicates wordlessly with his companion: Rothitash? Valharath will defer in matters relating to security to the man trained for such things.

Rothitash nods silently and advances to investigate.

Ancient ruins.

The murals are in a style alien to eyes more used to human art. They show a grand temple or palace, with a lot of what looks like warforged standing at attention, flanked by large warconstructs. Unfortunately, what or who they're parading for is unclear.

Facet, glitch and Alecto hear a tingling noise behind them. The smashed crystals in the entrance are slowly reassembling.

Muncher and Zeta march resolutely through the door, ready for trouble. The door leads to a room similar to the first. Three figures stand at the far end of the room, one of them dressed in fine but stained clothes, who is examining one of the murals. The two others are clearly guards, armoured and with weapons at the ready. They look startled when you walk in, especially the one in fine clothes. He shouts something unintelligable and then suddenly slumps to the floor. The two guards grip their weapons and charge.

The wildlands of Adar

Rotitash walks closer to the vague sounds and flickering blue light. Itis quite a stroll,but as he gets closer he sees that the noise seems to come from an ancient ruin, a leftover from the age of demons and dragons, one of the many that dot the landscape of Adar. No more sound can be heard, and the blue glow seems to have dissipated.

Rotitash, while perhaps not the foremost scholar of Adar, realises that messing with the draconic ruins is something that is forbidden, and investigating who is doing the messing might be important.

"Stand down or face annihilation!" Exclaims Muncher, raising his polearm, reading it to meet the charging guard.

Reading an Action to skewer any enemy that comes withing Muncher's Guisarme reach: 29 to hit with the guisarme, 10 damage points. I rolled a 20, so I guess this is a critical hit for twice the damage?

Rothitash realizes that he is not only out of his league with the investigation, but also out of range for his telepathic link, so he heads back to camp and Valharath. Once he arrives he will explain what he's seen and let Valharath decide whether to return and investigate further.
