Valya peeks around the corner and with an incantation sends a searing spear of white light at the wyvern! She's keeping her bigger spells a bit closer at hand this time around, opening with a conservative cantrip.

(Move out from behind the wall, Ray of Frost, move back.)

[roll0] to hit, for [roll1] cold damage, and it reduces the wyvern's speed by 10 if it hits as well.

Round 2:

Jade charges the creature and hits him with 3 solid blows attempting to trip up the beast but unable to do so.

Halga charges and makes a mighty chop that connects with the Wyvern.

Drek charges into the middle and also wounds the beast.

Valya connects a frost ray and the beast seems slower.

The Wyvern returns the favor into Jade attacking twice. One hit from his bite but he misses with his deadly stinger (and thus Jade lives). The bite deals 14 damage.

Round 3:

All 4 PC's can provide actions.

Though he's bleeding badly from the bite, Jade hesitates for only a moment to consider whether he should disengage and remain safe and alive. He quickly throws away such thoughts of weakness though. Instead, he goads himself on with a thought, 'In life, as in war, the stronger force wins. And I am the stronger one here!!' With that, he snaps his staff forward again to crash hard into the beasts neck before lashing out with another pair of quick kicks. One kick lands solidly, but the last one is aborted because the manticore starts to bite at the foot as it swings in towards the creature.
[sblock=Details]Attack Action: Quarterstaff attack: 1d20+6=25, 1d6+4=9 Hits AC 25 for 9 damage!
Bonus Action: Spend 1 Ki point to use Flurry of Blows for 2 unarmed attacks:
---1st unarmed attack: 1d20+6=25, 1d4+4=8 Hits AC25 for 8 damage and Manticore needs to make another DC13 Dex save or be knocked prone. If it fails, then any melee attacks by people within 5 ft of it get advantage.
---2nd unarmed attack: 1d20+6=10, 1d4+4=5 which misses I think unless it is prone from the first Unarmed Attack. If it was already prone, here's a second attack roll since Jade would have gotten advantage: 1d20+6=11 which looks like it would miss anyway as well.

HP: 13/27
Ki Points: 2/4 [/sblock]

Halga sees the strike land on the elf. Despite the little monk's lack of common sense at wearing only robes into combat, Halga decides to strike at the monster's wing in an attempt to draw attention from the monk onto himself.

Attack: 1d20+6=16 (10+6)
Damage 2d6+4=10 (1+5+4)

Valya fires another beam of ice magic at the beleagured creature, and frowns and looks around the arena.

Had they simply been fortunate, or was an unpleasant surprise stalking them?

[roll0] to hit for [roll1] damage and -10' speed.
