Doom of the Savage Kings

Attacks and magic fly; unfortunately most do not find their target. The blessing of Kurl's god settles on Tender like a slimy, half-rotted leaf; or many leaves and it is not a pleasant feeling. Tender does feel strengthened, however, and his attacks strike the Hound of Hirot. The sword doesn't cut as deeply as he thinks it should, nor does his shield bash have the effect he expects. The Hound is still affected as the gash in its shoulder indicates, just... not deeply.

The Hound lunges back at the attackers who came for him but its claws scrape across the black iron of Tender's armor and it chomps down with a clang without even breaking skin. The Hound breaks away from combat exposing itself to further attack and begins circling the standing stones again.

Just a reminder, Scott, halflings use a d16 when fighting two weapon style.
Also note, the Hound breaks off from combat and so provokes an attack from Tender and Homer.

The Hound of Hirot is successful in its withdrawing from combat. It avoid blows from both Tender and Homer and retreats to the edge of the clearing. It circles around the standing stones and the brave souls within. Beady yellow eyes stare with an intelligent malevolence, searching for a weakness to the defense. At the moment, it seems like a waiting game...

Scott, 1d16-1 with a result of 1 means you rolled a 2. No fumble. :(

Kurl laughs some more. "Yes! I will empower us all before we finish this creature!" His smile quickly fades, however, as his call for divine aid fails when he tries it upon himself. "Oh, crud."

OOC: Doh! A 5. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4742555/ :(

Tender waits behind his shield for the creature to attack. "You can blast him at anytime, Boral," he says.

"Right." The wizard replies. Though he was upset at his spell failing, he figured it was worth another go, as he let loose with his bolt of force... which fails badly. "Maybe this altar is affecting our magic?"

OOC: Crap! A 6! 1d20+3=6

Nope. We're waiting for Homer, Hank, and Franko[/sblock]

ooc: figures

Franko:
Franko bursts into tears as he prepare his next spell - one that brings destruction to so many people: magic missile

ooc: Oh come on!
Franko can hear the voices of thousands of people screaming in agony and terror as they all die a most horrid death on some alternate reality. He alone can hear this and it obviously is haunting him right now.

Homer: Homer stands at the ready and is not advancing on the dog beast.
