Over the years there have been many TV shows that have inspired us and we've all created characters based on some favorite TV character. So if you were going to build a campaign using some show's plot line what shows would you use? Here's my quick list:
1. Supernatural
2. Arrow
3. The Blacklist
4. Battlestar Galactica
5. The Musketeers
6. Human Target
7. Merlin
8. Babylon 5
9. Deep Space 9
10. The Shannara Chronicles

What's your list?

Person of Interest - a limited resource, urban Spycraft game
Agent Carter - period Spycraft:)
Dark Shadows - whats not to love in a Gothic Horror Soap Opera?
Da vinci's Demons - Renaissance fantasy adventure

I also once used the Beverly Hillbillies (Next Generation) as the basis of a skills based Soap Opera game

Hmm, maybe Battlestar Galactica would work. Translating it into a fantasy setting would have the benefit of the source not being immediately recognizable. And after following the first one or two seasons, it would develop its own life based on the player characters' actions and the players' interests.

I already did a modified "Babylon 5" campaign, using the Alternity RPG. "Agents of Shield" would work well in either D20 Modern or Dark Conspiracy, with appropriate flavour changes. "True Blood" is a natural for Vampire: The Masquerade. I think I could make a reasonably good campaign based on "Flashpoint." It helps that it was shot in Toronto, so I have plenty of first-hand experience with the environment. "Grimm" would work very well in Dark Conspiracy too.

I ran a FATE campaign based on Doctor Who, with the umbrella title "Second UNIT". The concept was that the player characters were part-time UNIT consultants - not soldiers, but individuals who had been exposed to the existence of aliens in some fashion, and had specialist skills that UNIT would call upon as and when needed. As private citizens, they could also be sent on investigations without causing the disturbance of an overt military force.

I think a campaign loosely based on Orphan Black could be great fun as a 1-on-1 exploration/social interaction-heavy game. You could keep the initial clone-suicide to draw the PC in, or do a twist on the "you all meet at the tavern" opening and have the PC meet themself in the tavern (assassinating the clone shortly after).

Just thought of another one; "Powers." Being a cop in a world in which some super type could just drop in and ruin your whole day? Yeeks.
