Round 5

Caleb gave a small smile. Now this was something.

“Kid,” he said, “here’s something to hit. Go for it,” he told Princess Starlight. He tapped his earpiece. “Kitsune, we found a hatch and gained access. Hostiles inside. Where are you?” He hadn’t heard or seen from the fox girl.

And then the Shadow waded into the room. He couldn’t pop his globe of darkness without blinding his allies, so he focused on the first guard, trying to gain them some extra room inside the cramped control room.

[sblock=Actions]
Move:
Action: Attack C
Unarmed attack on C: 1D20+9 = [11]+9 = 20
DC 20 Toughness save
Reaction:
Conditions:
Regeneration: 5/5r
[/sblock]

The Princess is feeling dejected as she enters the hatch. She taps the wall to see if it feels as sturdy as the outside of the robot. The Shadow says something and she turns toward the guards. She steps in front of Felix and announces, "Sunny Rays of Chromatic Goodness". A cone of bright light flies toward the guard in front (d) and the guard on her left (e) and possibly even hits the guard in back (f) with a searing blast of white light.

OOC: Light flash AoE Cone, check required [roll0] DC 15
Fortitude save DC 17 or sight hindered (-2 on checks), less than 12 cause sight disabled (-5 on checks), less than 7 causes blindness

Kitsune eyed the thing struggling in her 'grip' of electromagnetic fields, and sighed. She should have known taking more STEM classes would have been a good idea. It was just so much WORK. Especially when people wanted to give you material in Braille!

Well, nothing for it. She had no idea what this thing was doing for the giant robot, but the others were in up to their gills and needed backup. Better to remove this quickly than spend the next half hour tinkering with it while everyone else got killed and downtown got destroyed.

There was a flare of light as a laser beam lanced out of thin air right next to the drone and drilled into its metal hide!

(Action - Kill the drone! Laser attack: [roll0]; not sure what effect having it grappled has on its defenses, I leave that exercise to you. :) Damage DC is 24, but it's Multiattack so a good roll could boost that.)

A screen of orange energy briefly filed the space in front of the Mech as it was showered in small arms fire, ineffective fire scaring the suit's surface.
"Pathetic." The synthesized voice boomed as it took a looming step nearer the helpless minions, arms widening out to fill the confines of the giant's interior, palms up and fingers coiled as if ready to grab and rip apart the nearest thing it got its hands on...

Meanwhile a tendril like arm extended from the back of the suit and slithered towards the nearest terminal, terminal C, The others had the minions, Tech was Felix's ballpark, all he had to do was mischief, from a Command Center that was meant to take over command from the other Command Center... oh, Fun times, fun times!

"Heh he haha! Ahaha ha ha-"
the monotone rumbled as he let himself get distracted by his imagination, the suit still set on a deliberately slow walk forwards... He really wanted to tell the giant to Start hitting itself...

The multiple energy blast bounce off of Felix's armored exoskeleton as one of his tentacle mechanical arms reaches for a nearby terminal. The systems appears to be shut down and freezing him out, at least for now. Silver Streak buzzes around inside the room and shots one of the soldiers with an lightning charge bolt sending him flying back unconscious. Outside, still on the Centurion Tower, Kitsune blasts the sphere in her telekinetic grasp causing it to spark and smoke and then partially exploded! Princess Starlight’s aura caused one of the soldier to lower his weapon and stare at her with utter confusion. Her blinding flash then blinded the same soldier while another in the area was able to dodge out of the way of most of it and avoid any adverse effects. The Shadow struck one of the with a solid blow but the man’s armor absorbed much of it and he simply grunted at the hero.

The man pulled out a sword and then swung at the Shadow but he missed. The other blasted at Silver Steak but he only managed to blast an inactive wall monitor. The last one was able to break out of his fascinated state but then cried in alarm “I’m blind!!!” as he staggered for cover.

Outside the giant robot continued to stride forward, smashing more of the street and elevated rail line. It also shot missiles out towards other buildings causing massive fireballs of explosions!!

GM: Initiative
38 – Felix
24 – Silver Streak
23 – Kitsune
20 – Princess Starlight
19 – The Shadow
15 – Doomsday Robot and Soldiers

[sblock=Rolls]Felix failed to access the computer terminal. You need a much better roll.
Silver Streak spent a HP and struck one of the soldier, his Toughness save: 1D20+6 = [12]+6 = 18, fails by two degrees. As a minion he fails and suffers the worst possible affect meaning he is incapacitated.
Kitsune uses TK against the sphere to deal damage, her Multi-Attack added +5 to the damage so vs. 29. Tough save: 1D20 = [11] = 11, fails by three degrees. It is also a minion type and appears to be destroyed.
Princess Starlight first the 3 remaining agents try to resist Aurora Aura; Will saves: 1D20+3 = [13]+3 = 16; 1D20+3 = [7]+3 = 10; 1D20+3 = [17]+3 = 20. One fails, he is Entranced. Then Light flash, only one can try to avoid the area (Dodge vs. DC17), so Dodge save: 1D20+5 = [15]+5 = 20, so he only suffers ½ the DC of 13, while the Entranced one needs a 17, in order Fortitude save: 1D20+5 = [10]+5 = 15; 1D20+5 = [9]+5 = 14. The first one made it the second one failed by 1 degree. Again as a minion he suffers the worst affect so he is ‘Blinded’ and ‘Entranced’.
The Shadow strikes one of the soldiers vs. DC 20, Toughness save: 1D20+5 = [18]+5 = 23, he made it!! Still up!!

The two soldiers inside that can still acts, one shots multiple blasts at Silver Streak the other draws his mono-bladed sword and slashes at the Shadow. Vs. Silver Strike, Ranged attack: 1D20+6 = [13]+6 = 19
, miss vs. a Dodge of 22!
Vs. the Shadow Close combat attack: 1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9, miss vs. a Parry of 19.
The last soldier, Will save: 1D20+3 = [18]+3 = 21, makes it but he is still ‘Blinded’.
The Doomsday robot continues to move and fire missiles into the area.

Then everyone goes again next round. Actions and Rolls.[/sblock]

Silver Streak calls out, "Princess! The hatch!" as he blasts the guard that shot at him.
[sblock="Action"][roll0] vs. DC 15
If hit, Damage 9 (DC 24) electrical[/sblock]

Round 6

The soldier drew a sword and the Shadow leaned out of the way as he swung. Then Caleb moved in, grabbing at the crewman’s hand to disarm him of the sword.

[sblock=Actions]
Move:
Action: Attack C
Improved Disarm attack: 1D20+9 = [7]+9 = 16
DC 20 Strength opposed check and Caleb will grab the sword when he drops it.
Reaction:
Conditions:
Regeneration: 5/5r
[/sblock]

The Princess beams a bit about finally being somewhat effective. Her distraction is short lived as Silver Streak shouts at her. She flies up to the hatch (h) and attempts to open it.
OOC: Not sure what she needs to do. If it looks like raw strength is needed she will abandon any attempt to open the hatch and instead ranged attack one of the minions.
