Amazing Tales from Centropolis

Still recoiled from Princess outburst, Felix's phone started vibrating on the floor, second motion and Felix stared to unfreeze, third buzz and Felix ducked and picked it up, while keeping a close eye on princess to make sure he did not get charged while distracted, odder things have happened to him then a magic girl deciding to hug him to death... He started to say something, but simply exhaled then inhaled deeply instead; he had inadvertently stopped breathing in an attempt to move as little as metahumanly posaible, the phone shook his hand. "I'll get back to you guys!" He chirped out as he excused himself and surged out of the doorway and then he started Standing in the hallway, leaning against the wall beside the door "Hiding": 1D20+15 = [10]+15 = 25

It was Maggie, figured. She tried to press him for information, then simply asked if it was alright to come over. In the interest of keeping the call short, and not repeating the last thirty eight times he had tried to say no only to have her brow beat him by talking about how she just wanted to hang out with Kim and this and that before getting her way anyways.

Latter.

Felix went over to the mainframe after overhearing Kitsune talk to Shadow, seemed like as good a idea to cross check as any.
Wall sized screen tied with the ability to read nearly as fast as he could see the words: to the unaware it looked like a kid flipping through channels for something that caught his eye. The screen was nearly entirely text in each case.
Eventually he found and validated the information he assumed he was looking for and then mass messaged it to the team, then he recalled he never got the newbies numbers to contacted them with... Rather the admit an error on his part he decided to just make print outs and had them to the new people.
He would, attempt, to casually get their contact later, or more likely just ask Kitsune, yes, the latter seemed like a better idea.

The Princess looked around and found most everyone was glued to a computer researching. She walked over to Kitsune and The Shadow and asks, "It's getting toward evening. I should head home soon. We'll meet here again in the morning I suppose?"

Kitsune glanced at the Princess. There was a moment, then her mask animated again, opening its slitted eyes a little and widening its grin. "Yeeeeep. I was kinda hoping we'd have more to go on, but...it's a start. Lets see what other tricks this guy has up his sleeve."

The night slowly comes to Centropolis and as it does an eerie quite falls over MainTown... most workers and residence have fled the area and only the police and National Guard are seen on the streets. There are a few looters, but these are all low-end and handled by the local law enforcement without anyone calling the heroes for help.

The national and local news is dominated by speculation as too what is going to happen tomorrow... what technological terror might this madman be unleashing onto the city of Centropolis and can those heroes assembled against him stop whatever it might be?

The Princess leaves the Tower near sunset and flies around the city for a few hours. There's unusual traffic volume leaving the city this evening as she flies about. She lands in the family boat house and after making sure she is alone she says, "Princess Starlight Slumbers." Brandon sits down and works on an excuse for being out all day. His body feels funny, much like how he feels right after turning into The Princess. This was the first time he spent over 10 hours as The Princess. His phone beeps. Brandon wonders where his phone goes when he is The Princess. For that matter, where is The Princess' clothes right now. He fishes the phone out of his pocket. Four emails, nineteen texts and apparently half of them are from Mom. Crud.

He scans through them. Most of them were sent in the afternoon, so he can claim bad cell coverage. He leaves the boathouse and heads back to the mansion. He enters through the garage and notices that his Dad's car is missing. He probably got called in to discuss evacuation plans. Probably won't be home for a while. Entering the mudroom off the kitchen, he is relieved that the kitchen is empty. He reheats some things he finds in the fridge and starts eating, facing away from the doorway.

"Where have you been?" He was expecting the question, though he was not expecting the questioner.

"Out," he says, turning to look at his sister.

"Mom's been looking for you all day."

"That's nice. What have you been up to?"

"Packing. We're leaving in the morning. Going to stay with Granma Byrnes."

Brandon almost misses her sly smile. "No we aren't. Nice try."

"Oh, you use to be more gullible." She pouts. "I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of Princess Starlight tomorrow. That would be so cool."

"How do you know she'll be involved?"

"It was all over the news. Princess Starlight and some other less known supers were seen entering the Centurion Tower this morning."

Brandon rolls his eyes.

"You fanboy just as badly about that stupid band, Steamship Zombies, so not a word about me liking Princess Starlight."

"It's SteamPUNK Zombies. And they don't really compare to your Princess."

Brandy stormed out of the kitchen, turning at the doorway to add. "Yes, she's much better."

Brandon finished his meal and cleaned up. He was about to head up to his room when he heard the garage door open. So he waited. He father walked in. "Hey, Dad."

"Brandon, did you Mother read you the riot act yet?" He put down his briefcase and overcoat.

"I haven't seen her yet. So they have you working on an evacuation plan at work?"

"Nice subject change, and yes, there are so many research projects we have to prioritize them which leads to never ending meeting. I have to head back out in a couple hours." He opened the fridge much like his son had and fixed a late dinner.

Brandon left and scurried up to his room safely. He knew he should get some rest. He would need his wits in the morning.

Kimberly Black and The Shadow

Round 0

Shadow looks at Kitsune and nods. “I’ll give it a try,” he says, but they find Felix seems to have found the information already.

“So a mind controller and a plant heavy,” Shadow noted. “The open park will have a lot of plants,” he pointed out. “I’m more worried about the woman, though, and what we don’t know about this Dr. Apocolypse. Mammoth is likely there, as well.”

Out in the hallway, Kim snuck up behind Felix and poked him in the ribs. “If that’s Maggie, tell her to come over,” she said. “She’ll be safer here anyway, right? And if it comes to it, she can come with me and Aunt Ginny out of town.” The teen smiled at Felix and couldn’t resist petting him, mostly to annoy him.

Later, when Princess said she was leaving, the Shadow asked, “Do you need a ride home?” She declined, though, and he warned her to be safe. “Be back here at eight. That should give us plenty of time to be in position.”

[sblock=OOC]For stationing, Caleb would probably want himself in some nearby building with access to shadows. He might want someone with ranged powers on a rooftop able to snipe. Everyone should probably be out of sight somewhere, though.[/sblock]

The rest of the night passes uneventfully. The next morning the sun rises on what would otherwise be a pleasant and bright spring morning. Birds are out in force as are the other smaller animals of the city. After the last week of the terrible storm it seems as if nature is ready to reclaim the normal state of affairs as they should be.

The streets of MainTown is still empty of any human activity. The police and national guard now have cordoned off the entire area and are patrolling the area to make sure no one else gets in. There are literally hundreds of news chops and reporters outside the quarantined zone, almost outnumbering the police and guard. Military and AEGIS vehicles are also out in force in the skies around MainTown, maintaining the cordon zone above the ground.

GM: OK the Shadow could pick almost any building he wants along the eight blocks of Centropolis Plaza to stake out. As they are almost all now abandoned there are lots of shadows to hide in. Where is everyone else going to be?

Felix was use to people leaving him be when he went assent minded after rounding any given corner, Kimberly on the other hand.... She prodded him instead of ignoring him and his response was a sudden jerk to turn and a mew of surprise and alarm. His eyes were wide, ears high, tail stiff and hairs standing on end.

Kim inquired as to who he was talking to, Felix clutched his chest and let out a held breath as she continued, his briefly paled face was returning to its normal color as he continued. "The tower is a more secure building, This structure's Cheif-" Felix was cut off as Kimberly petted him, She Knew he hated that, and more then likely that he would do no more then give a grumbling meow of protest until she stopped.
That petting him halted all rambling rants was a bonus that she was also more then likely to know about.
His eyes narrowed, laughter could be herd over the phone, Maggie arrived soon there after.

The next morning: Felix was out about two blocks from the cordoned off area, nearish the Centralist Plaza. He was siting in the Experimental suit and the suit was in the trailer of a semi: The suit needed combat testing sooner or latter.
If called in, he would make his entrance early, if not he would make was to the Plaza and arrive at exactly noon.
To do so, he would step onto a massive slab of orange force and ride it over buildings and into the Plaza. he would decide if he needed to land when the time came, though he had it in his head that he would approach if the meeting was not initially hostel...
