Star Crossed: Love Letters from Bully Pulpit Games
  • END DATE: Dec 7, 2023 at 8:00am EST.

As your characters increase their attraction towards each other, they pull bricks from a Jenga Tower. When the tower falls, the lovers give into their emotions. This sourcebook provides settings, characters, and more for the core game. But what this book really offers are alternate rules, options to go beyond the original limitations of the game. What if you’re playing online? What if there are more than two of you? What if you don’t have a Jenga Tower because your hand-eye coordination is that of a toddler (which mine is)? This book gives you options to play this game in new and exciting ways. If you’re a fan of Star Crossed or just interested in a duet to play with your beloved, this Backerkit awaits.

One of the best sounding options is the key events and activities, so your character knows if it’s trivia night or half price plot hook Sunday. Alternate rules for Jenga tower games played online intrigues me. I just got The Job, which uses a dice tower to simulate tension in a heist game, but I'd love to play it online, if I could figure out how.

Have you been to LevelUp5E.com yet?
Yeah? I've counted a dozen typos on the Kickstarter page which is usually where I tap out on a project (sloppy presentation --> sloppy book). Weird pledge levels too—is the only difference for Ma Zaan, Tyranos, Naern, and Jinos the progressively larger number of additional PDFs? Seems like those ought to be add-ons, especially if this thing is 3 weeks in and nobody has picked them yet. Read the room amirite?
Between the typos and general plan I'm skeptical, but good on them for making it so far on a system agnostic book.

Yeah? I've counted a dozen typos on the Kickstarter page which is usually where I tap out on a project (sloppy presentation --> sloppy book).
you found a lot more than me then…

Weird pledge levels too—is the only difference for Ma Zaan, Tyranos, Naern, and Jinos the progressively larger number of additional PDFs?
no, it is a progressively larger number of printed books, you already get all PDFs at the Voth level

Seems like those ought to be add-ons, especially if this thing is 3 weeks in and nobody has picked them yet. Read the room amirite?
PDFs, softcover and hardcover are available as addons, those tiers just give you a better bundle price.

Maybe focus on the content instead of trying so hard to find typos that you miss most of the information…
