Recomendations wanted: Best basic music player for Linux

So, I have decided to move to Linux for my next computer, and I'm looking for a media player, but I don't want what a lot of people want.

I don't care about internet connectivity, smart playlists, recommendations. I just want something that plays the MP files, in the order I have them on the hard-drive or playlist.
I don't want it build a library - a lot of my music isn't tagged (ripped from vinyl in days of old, and never bothered to tag). I have all my music files sorted by alphabet, artist, album, and song (in order on album) rather than tagged. I also have a LOT of music. When most music players find and try to organize my music, it does it by tags, and that messes things up.
Supports playlists.

If anyone knows of a good player that fits those criteria?
