Klyman Sylar

Klyman will take up a stealthy position just inside the cave/chamber to the side of the entrance that the Kobolds are approaching, and hide in shadows there with his drawn sword hidden beneath his cloak. His idea is to be able to 'cherrry pick' the biggest, meanest kobold, the obvious leader he hopes, and throw the whole group into disarray by killing him first with a well-placed backstab.

At the sound of approaching foes, Jimi suddenly gains focus and takes up an ambush position next to Midgrim, with his sling loaded and ready for a shot at their enemy.

As you wait, you see two Kobolds come down the corridor. One of them is carrying a large metal pail. From the snippets of conversation you overhear it sounds as though they are concerned about the number of dead Kobolds being found. They are arguing whether or not it is a counterattack by the Custodians, or if it is actually Orcs who are being driven out of the level below and skermishing with the Kobolds for space. You also hear one of them mention the name Guran, which sounds quite familiar to Midgrim. You're pretty sure he is a Dwarf who went in with the last group of Custodians.\

Oh, and you guys have a surprise round.

Klyman will attempt his backstab against the kobold not attacked by Midgrim.

OOC: Iam remembering that a backstab confers a +4 to hit to the backstabbing thief. If this is incorrect, please adjust my attack roll accordingly, if it even matters.

Woohoo! I think that takes care of both of them, right?

If so Midgrim will search the bodies, bucket first (he's rather expecting that it contains another dwarven head, actually. Ugh.).

Midgrim, your axe hammers into the skull of the kobold carrying the pot and he collapses to the ground spilling the contents of the pot all over your feet. You're suspisions weren't too far off. It has a number of gnawed bones that scatter about across the floor.

Klyman's sword pierces through the kobold's spine causing him to drop to the floor twitching slightly.

Quickly searching the bodies you find another handful of copper coins, but little else of value. Listening carefully though you think you hear more kobold voices to the south. These ones do not seem to be approaching though.

OOC: loot 5 cp

"Yes!" grimly grins the dwarf through his crescent beard as the kobolds fall. "We make a fine team, Klyman!"

It's good to be able to hit things again...

"I'd thought this Guran's head might be in the bucket, but seems he yet lives -- if maybe in cruel kobold stocks. Guran be a good, dwarven name," Midgrim explains to the thin folk in the party.

He's obviously eager to go rescue that dwarf, but he and his brother take the time to drag he solidifying kobold bodies to the far left corner of the cavern and stuff them in a narrow-ish crevice anyways, before catching back up to Klyman, Jimi and Climent.

OOC: Carefully sneaking down the south passage towards the kobold noises?

OOC: Is the metal pail of good construction, Imperialus? (that doesn't seem a very kobold-y design to him for some reason...). If so, Midgrim will scoop it up into his ever hungry pack, sans the bones. :)
