"Magic card" sized Character Sheet

Hi there! I began playing 4th Edition, and recetly my DM forgot our record sheets at his home. So, since in our campaign we are heavily relying on power cards, I made this:

sheet.rtf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

attachment.php

It fits in Magic plastic covers, and the faces are of the right size, so printing the .rtf file and putting the faces into a transparent cover gives a perfect portable sheet.

Give me some feedback if you like my work!

I tried to stuff all the sensible information in the small space of a Magic card: I tried to use all available room to its full potential. By the way, it seems more cramped on screen than when it's printed: I printed it, and it looks really nice!

Anyway... "Dun'eering"... It's fun! :)

Cicciograna - I apologize for threadjacking. I really was just trying to give you some ideas on layout management.

Now where can I download that? :)

I like it.
To answer your question, you need Magic Set Editor - Download | Magic Set Editor

And then when you've installed that, you need download the data files from data.zip.

Unzip the file. The folders all go into C:\Program Files\Magic Set Editor 2\data and the two mse-set files just go into C:\Program Files\Magic Set Editor 2\

(Incidentally, that zip file also contains the templates for power cards and item cards.)

Any questions, please PM and I'll be happy to help.

I ended up splitting my character cards up a lot more. I think that they're spread between like 8 or 9 different cards, though we've got a lot more information on them than you've got on yours.

Don't worry, I prefer seeing another version of character sheet rather than being the star of this thread :)
Anyway, I thought to use MSE, but I don't know how to create new sets :-S By the way, there are some fundamental differnces between your sheet and mine, apart from the look: I see that in mine there is way more information than in yours. I put a complete list of skills, magic objects, a small weapon area and more room for feats. I created my sheet having in mind that I'll write the Magic cover with a CD pen, instead of printing a new sheet every couple of levels, even if my sheet is really ink-cheap. I like your sheet, and I was sure that someone had already created one of these, but I prefer to have the maximum information on one single sheet. Why don't you add a "back" side of your sheet adding some more information?

@ chronoplasm: yes, COS is CON. That's because I'm Italian, and "CONstitution" is "COStituzione": I was very tired when I made this... ;)

@ Nytmare: can you post your character cards? I'm curious to see them.

I avoided that because then you're getting into "Why not just use a character sheet?" 9 cards is one whole sheet.

Yeah, my design philosophy was only putting in the skills that the character has trained and separate cards for magic items and weapons.

That's something I'll consider. I haven't done anything with this since last summer when Black Plauge and I stopped working on cards in general. We'd need to add in the new base classes and other stuff too.
