[sblock=Headsup]Can we get this beastie slain soon? I may have to miss a few days in the very near future. My son has just called to tell me I'm a grandfather...! Two weeks early!

I can't go to visit yet as I am granny-sitting my mother for the next week or three but then I hope to zip off to see if the poor little bogger looks like me. He's got my name - hope he hasn't got my looks.

BTW Covaithe, my new grandson is in Cambridge. So if you fancy representing Enworld in a pint, drop me a line.[/sblock]

OOC: I'm NPCing Hrav since he hasn't had any activity on the boards since June 12th.

Girth's save vs. ongoing damage (1d20=5) Failed

-Quagmire's thick skin saves him from the worst of the acid breath and he quickly scrapes it off his hide. Healing Alex quickly, the Hobgoblin repositions himself farther away from the dragon and goes on defense.

-Alex moves back slightly and stays ready to charge at the dragon as soon as she becomes visible.

-Hrav slings another shuriken forcefully at the dragon but it flies wildly away from the target. (Roll posted below. Almost max damage, but rolled a 1 on the attack roll. :.-()

-Girth moves back and takes a moment to catch his breath. (Second wind used, still has ongoing damage.)

-The dragon maintains her cloud of darkness and then leaps into the air above the cloud and begins flying straight up into the sky. (Swift action to maintain the cloud of darkness and then double move action flying straight up. The range to hit her with any ranged attack is currently 14 squares from each PC.)

[sblock=Round 11: Init/Status]19- Alex / hp 14/41, bloodied, regen 4hp at start of any turn when he's bloodied
18- Hrav / hp 10/31, bloodied
20- Girth / hp 19/35 5 ongoing acid damage and -4 AC (save ends both), +2 to all defenses
29- Kartharath / hp -204
29- Quagmire / hp 3/31, bloodied, has cover, +2 to all defenses[/sblock]

Quagmire drops his sword and flips his sling over from his shield hand. With a practiced motion, he loads it and fires into the sky, sending a hunk of metal whistling past the dragon's shoulder. "That's right, run away, ye overgrown kobold! Come back with a few of yer friends when yer ready for more!" He shouts into the sky. He sways with the effort, nearly collapsing as black spots dance dizzyingly across his vision.

ooc: Whoops, I forgot to link the roll. Anyway, it hit AC 17, so not much point.

"Coward! Get back here and die like a man!" Girth was capering and gibbering like a madman as the dragon flew up. He scurried forward and fired off a burst of Eldritch anergy which zizzled harmlessly yards short of the airborne antagonist.

And all the while the acid ate its way into his skin

[sblock=OOC]Save fail: Roll Lookup 5 ongoing damage[/sblock]

ooc: For those of you without ranged weapons that will reach, a heal check to give Girth another saving throw might be a helpful use of a standard action.

Still crouched hidden in the bushes, Hrav readies a shuriken to throw at the dragon as soon as she comes back within range.

OOC: Readying a shuriken attack for as soon as she's witihin long range, range is 6 short, 12 long.

And congratulations, Digger!
