I just wanted to make sure that everybody saw this item, which is as interesting as it is troubling....

New content for Community Supporter Subscribers! Emerald Press has kindly donated two products available to those with an EN World subscription.
Dark Classes: Assassin Dark Classes: Assassin provides a complete 4e class to restore the assassin class to the game. Designed as a martial striker, the assassin is the epitome of professional killers. This original class from Emerald Press PDF Publishing provides over 70 original powers, three paragon paths (the poisoneer, the suicide striker, and the hood), new feats, NPC template, and rules for creating unique weapons such as flick knives, heavies, or whatever else your twisted imagination can conceive.
Quick Kill There are times in any campaign where you need to take out a guard quickly without alerting anyone else and this can be tricky for higher-level characters squaring off against monsters with incredibly high hit points. It's time for the Quick Kill. Included is the quick kill skill challenge and three encounters to use with (or against) your players."

I'm not sure how I fee about this addition overall, but I think that it's DEFINITELY a NO-GO for this game. I just wanted to make sure thateverybody saw it, and knows that we've got 3pp who are actively expanding the 4E game in new and weird ways.

Yeah, and the same thing happened when Ari Marmell released his Gnome race shortly after 4E PH came out. Boom, PHII suddenly had the "official" gnome race. Kinda makes you wonder if WotC's product line might be driven by cutting the legs out from under the competition?

But, truthfully, I haven't seen the WotC assassin! Is that going to be in PHIII???

BTW: Stand by for new IC post coming before too long! (I finally got caught up on my sleep last night! Food tastes good again, the birds are singing, and all is right with the world.)

It's in one of the Dragon magazines - not sure which issue.

Dragon 379

Oh, ok! Do you still read Dragon? Gosh, I haven't seen an issue for many, many years. Do they even still publish it in print, or is it only available electonically?

No, since about 9 months or so before 4e came out WOTC took it back from Paizo and made it electronic only, which prompted them to create Pathfinder. Silly WOTC....

Nope, but my subscription to the 4E Character Builder is active for a few more months, and I get updates as long as the subscription lasts. Assassin was in the October update, and the source was listed - I remembered the Dragon part, but not the issue (thanks, Ryan!).

Coolness! 379, eh? Is that the current issue? I don't guess I've read one since wayyy back in the 100's... :(
P.S. I sent you over a copy of the assassin for review.
Got it! Thanks, Ryan! I passed it on to Scotley, too.

What?? Does that mean that you're NOT going to re-up for more character builder?? How can you pass a chance to send WotC more of your money??
