Feall looks around the room at the bustle, sparing a glance for the interrogation as the decibels rise but not seeming disconcerted at all.

"Though I've told you something of my tale - more than I intended, in fact - I still haven't heard what brings your group here. It seems the Khyber have taken an interest in you, but I've not heard why.

I was traveling along when I stumbled across you, but if you'll have me it may suit our purposes to travel together for a while."

"Thank you, Pok. If you would, please place an appropriate vial in our pack (and label it if you could). We do not believe we should wait here any longer if we still have daylight to travel in. The farther we travel today, the more likely we are to get out of ear shot and eye range of these Khyber maniacs. And besides, if you're worried about spies, isolating our group in the wilderness will give said spies less opportunity to report to anyone and allow us to keep a better eye on them, since they will need to stick close."

Good show. Pok grabs the potion of resistance, and takes out his inquisitive kit. Wrapping a piece of paper around the vial, he gives a short description of the contents, and slips it in Lan's pack.

Wow.... I totally missed this post sorry

"Traitor? No, they threatened to put our town to the torch if we didn't let them store those weapons here. He even said they were planning to burn down the town." the farmer replies, pointing to River.

*sigh* "Alright, the cults running weapons through Drooam, we're the last place between here and there so we give them free run of the town and they don't kill us. They're going to come looking for their friends, you ain't done much but delay the inevitable. You can rest the night, but you gotta get out of here tomorrow" he adds.

Pok huffs, and says in an exasperation This village is already dead, those here should relocate ASAP. The plight seemed obvious to him, but a lifetime of running packages through occupied territory made things like this obvious. *When the deal is, do this or we'll kill you, you're already dead, so don't do it.*

The Silver Flame hired us, likely to do the same thing you're doing. Pok's vague answer is quick, and friendly.
Safety in numbers, and all that, I'm sure you'll fit right in. the welcome is obviously genuine, but not necessarily for the right reasons. *You stick close, and Sheeva sticks close, and we'll have our eye on the best spies available. Or someone is following us, that is so stealthy Lanharath hasn't noticed them.*
The wizardly gnome shivers a bit at the thought.
Stay close, and keep your eyes open. he says, suddenly serious.

Pok flusters, I, um, he moves to hide behind the closest thing, which happens to be a chair. Peaking out, his hood fallen in his haste, and the chair hides the shimmering glare that would normally divert the eye, leaving a clear view of his face, and the Sivis diadem resting on his head. Um, I can't see in the dark, he edges out from behind the chair, I like you, it seems he had more to say, but instead he slipped back behind the chair. *Oh come on! You can do this Pok!* his head peaks out again, your pretty. The head ducks again, Pok shaking like he's seen an ancient draco-lich face to face. *I, She, Said, Was, OHGOD, what if she misin, can't exp, what about... AH!* AH! yips the Sivis gnome, continuing to hide from social interaction.

Holding Pok's chin. "Well next time, don't be a hero. You don't need to dash out to protect me. You almost got yourself killed. My darkness will protect you. Take advantage of it in the future. We wouldn't want to lose you." Sheeva chides softly and unexpectedly, then quickly turning away before Pok can see her glistening eyes. She heads to the other room, visibly upset as she pushes past the others.

"And you, ya big lug. Off fighting with your armor and sword and vow of stupidity while Pok was besieged by three foes. Next time, keep him safe!" Sheeva hisses at Val as she forcibly brushes past him, her eyes glowing red.

River sit down. He takes a moment to think. "Don't worry." he tells to the farmer. "I understand you. If you would had the courage to stand up against them, you would probably been dead and nothing would have changed from the current situation. But things are changing as you see, things will continue to change, as the Host is watching. Tell us everything you know. Have you spoken all you know?"

As he questions the farmer, he see on the side of his eye, Pok hiding behind a chair nearby and over hear some word... and smile.

[SBLOCK=OOC]River is not trusting anymore the farmer, so: Insight (1d20+11=17) for his answer... it seems River is distracted by Pok.[/SBLOCK]

"Sheeva, calm down. There is no need of that. We have won our battle, everyone is correct. Val and Lan had there trouble on there side, we you and Pok had yours on your side. Val have been the most seriously wounded in this battle, but even then, Arawai was watching over everyone and we are back fresh thanks to her." interrupt River. "If you have constructive comments on the tactic used during this battle, you can share them so next time, things could go even better."

Lanharath, turning friendly again, smiles at the farmer and nods sagely to his comments.

Hearing, once again, Sheeva's complaint, he decides that it was undeserving to place the blame on Val.

"The blame should go to us, Sheeva. We were equally outnumbered here with the two bugbears and the hobgoblin mage until our new friend here showed up, so we believed we could take out the opposition here quickly if Val and us teamed up against our foes. Il-Yannah's light shines all the brighter when two are holding her torch. So if you must place a blame on anyone, let it be us that takes the blame."

"Constructive?" Sheeva spins around, her anger now focused on the Shifter.

"CONSTRUCTIVE?" She says again in a much louder voice.

"I'll give you constructive. Next time, fight damn you. You too could have moved to protect Pok. Instead, you are busy planting magical standards in the ground and spouting passivism. You hide in the back protected while others like little Pok here get hurt for you. Pok wouldn't need healing if he wasn't catching arrows and he wouldn't be catching arrows if you would kill his foes. Get your hands dirty, stand up for what's right and stop whining about not killing. These mauraders deserve to die for the horrors they are committing. Too many people like you and this farmer stand around and bend before them. Arawai is the goddess of fertility and abundance. There will be no fertility or abundance if cults like this are successful. And the Host is not about avoiding conflict. The Host is about stopping such foes. Pick up a weapon and do that!" Sheeva nearly screams, so upset now that she is visibly shaking.

Seeing Sheeva's outburst towards the shifter, Lanharath almost wishes he could have taken back his previous statement. Lanharath stood there, ready, for his turn to receive some mental abuse (not that it would really phase him...).
