TRISTALT: The Return.

The problem with Gestalt is its inherent limitation, two classes.

Why not bump it up to three?

A Paladin/Sorcerer/Bard for example... or a Monk/Cleric/Druid.

A wizard/swordsage/beguiler...

What would be your ideal Tristalt character... and most importantly... what would be the THEME behind your character..

For example, A Paladin/Sorc/Bard could be said to fit the theme of many iconic disney princesses.

The problem with gestalt is that it isn't strictly defined enough, which leads ot horric abuse. Also, two classes with little extra to show for feats and skill points means you'll probably feel starved in both unless the purpose of one class is solely to support the functions of your "main class." MAD is also likely an issue.

Your idea of Tristalt solves none of those issues, and in fact makes all of them worse.

That said, it would be sweet to play a Warblade//Factotum//Wizard who's just the consummate prepared-for-anything tactic genius.

Missed this the first time. I definitely don't recall any Disney princesses who followed a strict lawful good code of conduct. Not that a Paladin/Bard is even possible without being tied to any existing flavour.

If you mean existing flavor being the Devoted Performer feat, perhaps. The prereqs on it are only Smite Evil and Bardic Music though, so gestalt (or tristalt) could take it at level 1.

Alternately there's the alignment variants, so a Paladin of Freedom could easily have Bard levels too.
