you use roll and /roll with [brackets] and the die + mod between them. Once rolled there ca be no further rolls after hitting submit reply. that is the tamper proofing on the system.

I did that the first time and it didn't work.

EDIT: Ok, not sure why it worked this time unless it has to do with the preview that I usually do.

Edit: Previewing the post changes the syntax to [roll#] and you gotta change it back to what it was previous for it to work. Thanks for the help, Scott.

Yes, Siva would be able to tell that she could get the spell off before reaching the island.

Low level Second Sight results are pretty much like D&D's augury spell. I couldn't quite tell what Siva is trying to determine here unless she's just looking for general advice. I can play it that way, no problem, but the advice may not be as directed towards what you are trying to discover.

Yeah, sorry. The intention was to find out whether they should attack the tentacles immediately, or leave them be.

I knew that with the dice roll, previewing the text scotched the rolls. I didn't know that you could edit before posting to reinstate them after previewing.

I tend to use (roll)1d20(/roll)+3 because I have never been quite sure if the +3 gets added in or not.

It does get added to the roll. I have no problem with your notation and can add it in myself if you prefer to continue rolling in that way. Or you can add it to the roll. I'm good either way.

[innocent]I'm just following the timeline of the module.[/innocent] Seriously, certain events happen at certain times and it was just bad luck that Siva chose a spell that had a long casting time that crossed those events in such a way that essentially negates the effectiveness of that spell.

There were clues given to help you circumvent this scenario but that was over a month ago and were either forgotten or disregarded. But don't give up! It's not too late to figure something out...
